This youth basketball organization has been USSSA for over 20 years. Rick would like to thank Mr. Don D’Amico, who is also a New York USSSA Hall of Famer, for the opportunity to become a basketball official in his USSSA program that has led to him becoming the official he is today.

Rick has also coached both Football and Basketball at Finney.  He and the Head Coach, Joe Marchand have known each other for years, even playing slow pitch together in the Henrietta Softball league.  As a coach for Finney Basketball, he was part of two New York State Championships in Glens Falls.

Rick has been a friend and mentor to many basketball officials that have come up through the CYP program. Seeing many of these officials go on to be college basketball officials has been great to for the program. He would like to thank the USSSA Committee for being the recipient of Frank and Al Ciaccia Lifetime Achievement which is such a special honor.

In closing, Rick would like to give a special Thank You to his Mother and Father for bring him up right with values and respect to be able to referee basketball for all these years.

Thank you!
