Elected : USSSA New York Hall Of Fame in 2012
Inducted : March 2013, Rochester, NY.
Jose was born in Puerto Rico. He and his wife, Luz have been blessed with three wonderful children, Daughters Valerie and Gillyeannaand son Jose. They also have four grand children, Meloney, Danielle, Corey and Chad.
Jose has officiated slow pitch, fast pitch and baseball for over 40 years with the USSSA. Jose was a member of the first USSSA umpires group in the country, the Metro Umpires Association, working with the likes of Floyd Slater, James Kimble and Skip Griecowho are all members of the NYS USSSA Hall of Fame.
Jose has umpired slow pitch at every level of play, from youth to the Major Conference. He has umpired at State Championships, NITs and World Series events. Over the last 5 years, Jose has been to the Military World Series in Panama City and the Mensand WomensWorld Series at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando.
Jose would like to thank the USSSA for the opportunities he has had to travel and umpire a game that he loves. He would also like to thank the selection committee for his induction into the New York State USSSA Hall of Fame. He also congratulates all the other 2013 inductees.
