Mike was born in Dansville, NY and grew up in LeRoy, NY. He was a 3 sport athlete at Notre Dame High School in Batavia. He graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1971 where he played on the baseball team. He began his Slow Pitch career in 1968 with the LeRoy Casino team, played for Moose Gray’s “Losers” squad and then reunited with the Casino team in 1976. He later played for Kozak/Bud Light.

 

In his 40s Mike joined the Rochester Legends managed by Joe Nucci. He also played Senior League Baseball during this time. For his Senior Softball career Mike has played for the many sponsors of Denny Warren’s teams managed by Dick Heuther.

Mike is an outstanding player as well as teammate to all of the different players and teams he has performed with over the past 47 years. He was elected to the RSSSA Hall of Fame in 2006 in the Senior Player category.

 

Mike and his wife Margy live in Batavia, winter in Ft. Myers and will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary later this year. They have three children and 6 grandchildren.
