Rick Presley

Rick was a pitcher and outfielder during his Slo Pitch Playing days from 1972 - 1982. Rick also took the same route as many players and entered the ranks as an official working slow pitch, fast pitch, high school and college. He was a registered USSSA umpire from 1977 - 1983.. 

Rick continued his involvement with sports as the League Coordinator for the Collins Sports World league that was played at Hopkins Road park. The league consisted of 72 teams from 1978 - 1988. He was also the league president for the Baldwinsville Softball Association for 3 years in the mid 1980's.                                              

Rick became an administrator as the Park Superintendant  at Onondaga Lake Park, MacArthur Stadium and Hopkins Road park from 1978 - 1982. He moved from the Park Superintendent to the Direcotr Of Operations for Onondaga County Parks and Recreation Department, a position he held from 1983 -2005. During Rick's tenure in administration of the Onondaga Parks Department, he oversaw the expansion of the softball facilities at Hopkins Road park from 2 fields ( 1 lighted ) to 5 fields ( 2 lighted ) which helped in the expansion of the USSSA slow pitch program for both league and tournament events.
