Dave Kasouf

Inducted : April 2005, Syracuse, NY.

Dave joined USSSA as an umpire in 1978 by becoming a member of the Central New York Softball Umpires Association. He was elected Vice President of the Association in 1987 and served as VP until 1994 when he was elected to his current position of President. Dave continues to umpire in Central New York.

In 1989 Dave was appointed the USSSA Area Director for Syracuse and Onondaga County. Then in 2000 he became the District Director for Central New York and since 2001 he has served as the Upstate New York Slow Pitch State Director.

Dave has been Tournament Director for several Local, State, and National Tournaments. He also participated as a tournament staff member at the 2004 Men's Class 'C' World Tournament in Orlando, FL.

On a National level Dave has attended every National Meeting since 1993. He served as the Northeast Division representative on the National Playing Rules committee from 1995 ' 1997. In 1998 at the National Meeting in San Diego, CA. Dave received the Dwight Hall Sparkplug of the year award for the Northeast Division, and in 2001 was awarded the Northeast Division Director of the year.

Dave credits his success in USSSA to the continued support and understanding of his family as well as the commitment and dedication of the Directors, Umpires, players, coaches and fans of New York State.
