Dave has been a resident and employee of the Town of Henrietta and has been involved with local sports programming for more than 40 years. The combination of knowledge and skill make him a sought out consultant and well respected coach and leader. His role as the Senior Recreation Supervisor for the Town of Henrietta gave him the opportunity to bring innovative programming to our community and assist independent groups to become successful. Dave’s experiences could fill pages and include:
35 Year, USSSA League Director for the Henrietta Recreation Department.
Adult Softball League and a 13 year USSSA Umpire.
CYO, Travel Basketball Coach.
Youth Football coach
Section V High School Wrestling Official
As a chapter Director for the National Alliance for Youth Sports, he has trained and certified 8000 volunteer youth sports coaches, making it the largest chapter in the State.
Dave’s 30+ years serving on the Board of Directors for the Rush Henrietta Athletic Association Community Baseball and Softball Program has helped hundreds of children develop skills of a sport as well as learn the importance of team, community service and giving 100% on and off the field.
Dave has been recognized as the;
1993: National Alliance for Youth Sports Leader Award
2013: Rochester and Monroe County Youth Advocate of the year
2012: Rush Henrietta Coaches Association, Youth Sports Coach of the year
2014: Henrietta Chamber of Commerce, Community of Excellence recipient.
We all take great pride in inducting Dave Moriarty into the New York State USSSA Hall of Fame.
