Mike was born and raised in Western NY and graduated in 1978 with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Buffalo. However, baseball has always been his first love since getting his first glove and bat in the early 1960’s.
He’s still playing softball competitively into his mid –fifties and his current teammates include his son, brother and nephew.
He has been actively involved in Amherst Slow Pitch Softball in various roles as player, manager and league director since 1984. His top priorities have always been insuring balanced leagues and schedules while creating a high quality, competitive environment for great softball.
He has been happily married to his wife, Jolene, for 32 years and has 2 children: Chris and Joelle. When his children were younger, he was their coach for Little League Baseball, Soccer and Swimming.
He plans on remaining active in Amherst Slow Pitch Softball for the foreseeable future.
