Vincent is a lifelong resident of Long Island. He resides in Hauppauge, NY with his wife of 28
years, Maria and their son Nicholas.
 
Vincent has been playing and umpiring USSSA softball since 1986/1989. He started off
managing/playing in the major division in the Town of Brookhaven, playing against some great
teams such as SCB and Gasoline Heaven. He started playing tournaments for USSSA, ASA, and
NSA in 1986. In 1990 he was a pitcher for Investor Associates. They took second place in the
ASA C World Tournament in Mariette, GA. In 1991 Vincent pitched for Kleet Lumber and
finished 6th in the USSSA D Regional. Then in 1992 he played for Garofalo Carting which
became NSA Super C World Champions.
 
In 1989 Vincent started umpiring in the Town of Brookhaven and at Playball (indoor softball) in
Hauppauge, NY. Throughout the years he has also umpired various local tournaments in the
Town of Smithtown, ABA, Empire and Island softball leagues. In 2002 he joined
Denelex/Stallions as a player. He became an assistant coach, and along with Ray Coyne, James
Pinggera and his mentor Rick Marz, helped build one of the strongest D teams in the Northeast.
In 2008 Denelex/Stallions finished 4th at the USSSA D World Tournament.
 
In 2001, Vincent was appointed a USSSA Director by his mentor, Rick Marz, along with Ray
Coyne. They were responsible for building USSSA tournaments. They partnered with
Cablevision which started the Cablevision Memorial Day Series. In 2022, Vincent was appointed
the USSSA NY State Director, running tournaments throughout the state, and was appointed the
Softball League Director for the Town of Smithtown.
