Chris Goyette

Elected : USSSA New York Hall Of Fame in 2018
Inducted : 2019, Rochester, NY

Chris was born in Norwood, Mass in 1974 and raised in North Attleboro, Massachusetts where he attended Bishop Feehan High School.  He played Baseball and Basketball for 3 years and served as a captain for both sports his senior year. He went on to attend St. Bonaventure University and played Division One Baseball for 4 years and was an assistant coach for one year.

Upon graduating from college he began playing in local softball leagues in Medina, NY and was asked by Brian Fry to play with Sneezies Softball Club. That led into his first out of town travel tournament with Leisure Time, and he was officially hooked. He kept playing for nearly 20 years with various teams. He would like to acknowledge all the sponsors over the years as none of the travel would have been possible without their generosity. These include Mike Petromala, Jim Ferra, Kevin Dolan, Pat Stiso, Rick Shiffhauer, and Seth Green.

Over the years there were many wins, tournament championships, all tournament selections and MVP’s, but nothing tops winning the USSSA World title in 2011 with Manhattan Beer. In the end softball filled my competitive void but more importantly allowed me to become friends with so many different people over the years and allowed me to travel all over the country to places I otherwise would have never visited.

Lastly, I would like to thank my wife Nicole, without her support and understanding none of my achievements would have been possible.
