Craig Chamberlain was born and raised in Rochester NY where he graduated from Rush-
Henrietta High school in 1983. Throughout college, Craig’s sport of choice was hockey. One
night at the local park, Craig was waiting to go out to a bar with friends from high school when
one of his friends asked if he would play softball for them since they were short a player. Being
the friend that Craig is, he obliged and that became the start of his lifelong love affair with
Softball.
Craig started his softball career the same way most players do, with friends at the local town
park. He was part of the local C/D teams until the team moved to play in the famous “Ronnie’s
Ballpark” leagues. That was when Craig and his friends quickly found out about upper-level
softball. With his newfound sport of choice and much determination, Craig slowly worked his
way up to the A/AA levels.
With Leisure Time Marina, they won the NSA A World Series in 1994. The following season,
Craig joined the Pace Team and as an “All World” pitcher, he helped them to their first World
Series Championship. Recently Craig was on the Team USA Championship winning team in the
“Caribbean Classic” and was named “MVP” of the tournament.
Craig’s most cherished accomplishments are his three wonderful children Ashley, Brittany, and
Trevor. Besides his newfound love of softball, Craig’s greatest takeaways from his time playing
are the many friendships and memories he has been able to create. Thank you to all.
