                                           Dave “Twid” Campese

Dave is a life-long resident of Syracuse NY. Where he resides with his wife Tami . Dave has a daughter Alicia and a son David . He grew up in Eastwood playing Eastwood LL and Eastwood bears. He is a graduate of Henninger High School. Where in 1980 his Henninger Baseball team ran the table as a 8th seed to win Henningers first  baseball Section 3 championship .

Dave started playing softball In 1982 with Ter-el trophy in Class C, Then with Daileys , Speras and Franklin Bar and Grill, where him and his childhood friends starting playing together . Dave and his friends  started to play to have fun and go out for drinks after the games on Fridays , then they started to realize that they played very well together, So they started to play more serious ,

Those teams Dave played for were in the Syracuse city rec leagues , Hopkins road leagues and  with numerous local and state tournaments .

They went on to win 10 divisional titles in 12 years . They won the overall city 4 times with the same team and lineup in the years 1985,1990,1991 and 1993. In those 4 year Daves teams went 71-9.  They Won Miller state champs 1986. 3 time Hopkins road champions . 2 time City-County Champions . Dave was the 1985  City Rec Home Run Derby winner the same year his team won their first City title.

After softball Dave went on to coach and was a  board member for Lyncourt LL , Where Dave coached  baseball and girls softball teams , where his girls softball team went on to win the 1998   District 8 L.L.  8-9 yr old  Championship.  Dave coached for North Syracuse Babe Ruth and Bishop Grimes Baseball .

Dave retired from UPS in 2011 after 31 years . Dave now works for East Syracuse Minoa High School’s  Athletic Dept.
