Doug Fenning

Doug Fenning grew up in Miller Place, NY, where he developed a passion for sports, playing both baseball and football throughout his youth. He has been married to his wife Michele since 1999, and they have two children: Justin (23) and Alyssa (20).
Doug began his softball career in 1990 with the Land Mark Grill team out of the town of Brookhaven. His dedication and love for the game quickly grew, and he eventually played three nights a week in leagues based in Smithtown and Huntington.
In 1992, Doug began competing in tournament softball, traveling across the U.S. to face higher-level competition. He played for V. Garofalo Carting and won the Super C World Series in Rock Hill, SC, where he earned his first MVP award.
Over the next 20+ years his skill, leadership, and sportsmanship made him a respected presence on and off the field. His accomplishments include 4 MVP’s, 3 world titles, 1 homerun derby, 1 homerun distance win, and 15 All tournament awards.
Throughout his career, Doug competed in A, B, C, D, and conference-level softball, playing for a number of top teams, including:
Landmark Grill, Clean Cut Landscaping, Team Dawg, TNT, Investors Associates, Mutual Financial, V. Garofalo Carting, Maddens, QT Sports, Benchwarmers, Hit n’ Run, Darkside, ONE Source, Giant Steel Denelex, SCB, Magic, TDR, TYJA Sports, Paradise Paint, Roebell/Allstate, and Roebell/Gashouse.
