Fausto Ramirez

Fausto Ramirez was born in the Dominican Republic and came over to the USA in 1985 after
signing a professional baseball contract with the Seattle Mariners organization. He played
professional baseball for both the Mariners and California Angels organizations from 1986-1991.
Fausto was a teammate of Ken Griffey Jr. In 1986 and 1987.
 
After his professional career, Fausto played in the independent league from 1992-1995 for the
Albany Diamond Dogs and Elmira Pioneers. Fausto’s illustrious softball career started in 1994
and continues to this day. After 30 years he continues to play at a high level. Over the years he
has played for many teams which include the Rochester Athletic Club, National Gold, Best Oil,
Smash It Sports, Syracuse Smoke and First Capital. These teams have won several NITs, States
and National tournaments.
 
Over the years, Fausto has earned nearly 50 All Tournament Team awards for events including
NITs, State Tournaments, National Tournaments and World Series. He has also earned nearly 10
tournament MVP awards.
 
Career highlights include: 2010 runner up at USSSA “D W” World Series. 2015 GSL Spring
World Championship. Member of the 2019 “C” World Championship Syracuse Smoke Team.
Several Senior Softball National Championships.
 
Fausto currently resides in Syracuse, NY. He still plays USSSA tournament softball at a high
level and as well plays Senior Softball. He loves the game and can always be found at the
softball fields on any given summer night. He also currently coaches’ youth baseball and does
private baseball lessons to baseball and softball players of all ages.
