Butch was born on March 19th 1964 in Lansing, NY.
Butch played football, basketball, and 3 years of varsity baseball in high school. In baseball he was elected to the All-Star team all 3 years.
Butch went on to play baseball in college and as a freshman was 3rd in the country in strikeouts per game at 13.4. As a senior he threw a no hitter.
After college Butch started playing softball locally in Lansing and Ithaca. In 1987 on Long Island, Butch was on a team that won the USSSA Class D Northeast Championship.
Butch played in numerous tournaments and was noticed by Gordie Heagle and joined his team. Butch played with Gordie’s team for a few years, then moved on to Leisure Time out of Rochester, NY. In 1994 they won the NSA “A” Championship. In 1995, Butch joined Pace AA Team where he met Mr. Pat Kehoe. Butch cracked the lineup due to an injury and never looked back. While with the Pace team, Butch won several championships, and was elected to numerous All Tournament Teams, including 2 MVP’s.
Butch retired from Pace in 2007 and is currently playing in the Law Enforcement tournaments. In 2010 his team won the Championship and Butch was elected East Coast Player of the Year. In that tournament Butch had a walk off home run and the game winning RBI single in the final.
