William H. Fox, Jr.

Bill was born and raised with 2 sisters and 2 brothers in the Village of Port Jefferson NY. He graduated college from the University of Bridgeport in 1974 where he received a B.S. in Physical Education. While teaching he received a Masters in Liberal Studies and Health Education certificate From S.U.N.Y. @ Stony Brook. Later in his career he earned N.Y.S. Certificate in Building Administration from Dowling College. He taught for 36 years, 29 in the Longwood School District where he was the Chairman of the Health, Phys. Education, and Family and Consumer Science.

Throughout the last forty years Bill has received many All Tournament and M.V.P. honors.  His teams have won USSSA Tournaments on Local, State and National levels. Some of the championship teams names he has played with over the years were Hawkins and Spencer, Mt. Sinai Wheel, Central Sports, Caption Bens, Super Swings, Reynolds Yard, Seltmann Cobb, Bryant, Elk Street Grill, K-Plan Tel, Thermco, N.Y. Streaks and LI Jaguars. He attributes his success to his Sponsors, Coaches. Managers and Teammates, who were extremely talented, committed and supportive.

Bill married his High School sweet heart Paula who has encouraged him to continue playing through the years and was always supportive. They have 3 children, William III, Michael and Jamie. All three are happily married. Now Bill has 7 grandchildren who help keep him on his toes, staying conditioned for each new season.
