Rudy has been one of the most successful businessmen on Long Island. His dedication and hard work have contributed to spots on NBC News as well as an article in the Wall Street Journal.

He has used the same formula that made him successful in business on the softball field. He began his softball career in the mid 1980's as a player coach and sponsor of Gasoline Heaven. Overtime Gas Heaven grew into one of the most successful teams on Long Island.

By the early 1990's Gas Heaven had developed into a tournament team with Rudy fostering the teams growth and development. In 1994 Gas Heaven was nationally ranked and won the USSSA World Tournament Men's Class B in Garland Texas. The team remained a national power and began to move up in class. In 1997 Gas Heaven won the Men's Class A World Series in Warsaw Indiana. In 1999 Gas Heaven captured a third title winning the ASA Men's Major National Championship going 5 ' 0 in Johnson City Tenn. In September of 1999 Gas Heaven was ranked 12th by Supreme Softball News in their top 25 Nationally Ranked Top Teams in America.

In 2002 Rudy made a tough decision and retired from softball. He wanted to spend more time with his family and growing businesses. Rudy would like to thank all his players, coaches, sponsors, and supporters over the years. He feels it was his players and coaches who dedicated their time and energy over the years that made Gas Heaven a successful nationally ranked team.
