Franklin Bar & Grill

Elected : USSSA New York Hall Of Fame in 2019
Inducted : October 2021, Syracuse, NY

The Franklin Bar and Grill was formed in 1983.  The team also played under the names of, Dailey’s Bar and Grill/Spera’s Meats, and The Hawaiians.   The team’s chemistry is what kept them together for twelve years where they played in the Syracuse City Parks and Recreation League, and were the overall City champions on four different occasions (1985, 1990, 1991 and 1993).   Their team compiled quite a few additional accomplishments over those years, to include ten divisional titles and nine league titles.  The nine league titles were:  two overall titles in Class C, four overall titles in Class B and three overall titles in Class A.  They also played at Hopkins Road for seven years, and were playoff champions on two separate occasions.  Additionally, the team was a two time, City-County champion, a four time regular season County champion, a three time Woods Road tournament champion and a Miller High Life tournament state champion.

The majority of the players on the team were from the Eastwood area of Syracuse, and through commitment, friendship and loyalty, they stuck together, year in and year out.

The team would like to thank their sponsors over the years.  Those include:  Mark Spera, Steve Barber, Mike Guiffrida, Joe Corasaniti and especially Johnny Green.  Special credit goes out to Johnny Green and Chris Paryzch, as they were the ones who started it all.

The team would like to dedicate this induction to Johnny Green, Mark Mallaro and Joe Mazella.  Thank you, guys!
