Gene Mazzola

Elected : USSSA New York Hall Of Fame in 2015
Inducted : March 2016, Rochester, NY.

Gene was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. Gene has been a leader in the Insurance Industry for over 50 years with offices in Rochester and Syracuse.

 

He was active in government, serving as Monroe County Legislator and Supervisor of the Town of Irondequoit. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Gene has been a long time supporter of softball who continues to sponsor local teams.

 

The 1977 Mazzola-Castle team won the World Series Championship at St Petersburg Virginia. Many former players are members of the N.Y.S. USSSA Hall of Fame. Some of the current Hall of Fame members that played for Mazzola-Castle teams include Peter Castle, Adrian Twist Jr., Joe Nucci, Rick Palmiero, Mike DeCillis, Andy Santillo, Frank Taccone, Glenn Eichelberger, John Warren, John DeMagistris.
