A family owned and operated business that was started from the dining room table in 1971 by Richard Lonigro, who along with his wife Priscilla raised 11 children.
The company has grown to one of the largest team and institutional sporting goods companies in America. Port Jefferson Sporting Goods presently owns and operates 4 retail locations, 2 screen printing facilities, 1 distribution location in Plainview and a Trophy and Plaque manufacturing plant employing 40+ people, with 9 being family members. The company through Richard's guidance and leadership has established a reputation of being highly competitive in all areas of the sporting goods industry while maintaining a high level of integrity and respect.
Port Jefferson Sporting Goods relationship with USSSA covers decades and has allowed the Lonigro family to establish relationships with many respected individuals within the softball community, particularly with Mr., Rick Marz, Mr. Peter Easton, and Mr. Ron Carlson who have helped to insure that our growth in the softball industry stays strong year after year.
