Charlie Kimble

Charlie was born on January 5, 1943 in Holly Bluff MS to parents John and Martha Kimble.  He is the 3rd oldest of 10 children.  

 

Charlie has 4 children Curtis, Lawrence (Wendy), Wanda and Sabrina (James) eight grandchildren whom he enjoys spending time with. 

 

Charlie was employed by SPX Corporation and after 37 years of service he retired in 2002.

 

Charlie began umpiring in 1978. He was inducted into Rochester Senior Slowpitch Softball Hall of Fame in 2013 along with his 3 brothers Lonny, James and Sammy. 

 

Charlie’s accomplishments as a sports official are many; Section 5 football for 34 years, 10 years RCCFO Section 5 Executive Committee Member.

 

Football official for the Eddie Meath All Star Football Game, in 1990, 1992 and 2000.  He was awarded Football Official of the Year in 1991. 

 

Another great honor for Charlie was his 2010 induction into the Section V Football Hall of Fame as an Officials.   He was also awarded the NYS Merit Award in 1991.
