Ed is a lifelong resident of Syracuse and still resides there with hiw wife, Stephanie. Their family includes three daughters, Ashley, Courtney and Alyssa, along with their beautuful granddaughter Madison.
Ed started umpiring in 1984, while still playing softball and became more involved once his playing days ended. He has umpired for over 30 years and durning that time has worked numerous Local, State and Regional tournaments. For the last 12 years he has also traveled to Florida for the USSSA World Series Softball Tournaments held at the ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World. While there he has had the opportunity to work numerous semi-final and final tournament games.
Ed currently works at AT&T in their Global Office as a Support specialist and has been there over 20 years. He is currently Umpire-in-Chief as well as Assignor for the local USSSA organization, CNY Umpires Assoication. When softball is not in season... He is also Assignor and Head Official for the Womans Syracuse/Oswego board of basketball officials.
