Joe Adams

Joe is married to his high school sweetheart Marge for 48 years. His family includes Son Joe and Daughter-in-law Jen, Daughter Mary and Son-in-law Gary, with four grandchildren Jake, Sarah, Ben ad Daniel.

Joe graduated from Westhill High School where he played varsity football, basketball and was on the track team.  He was selected to the first team all-county football team in his junior year. He attended SUNY of NY at Delhi, and was on the basketball team.

Joe served in the Army for 3 years as an Admin. Specialist, spending 13 months in South Korea (1969-1970). Joe worked for Crucible Steel for 36 years as the office manager before retiring in June 2009.

Joe was a long distance runner and ran in 4 marathons and over 150 races.

Joe was a high school Boys and Girls basketball official for 30 years, a member of the CNY Umpires Association for 34 years, including 25 years serving on the Executive Board.  Joe umpired the Women’s Class “B” World Tournament in Rochester, New York.

Joe currently is enjoying retirement playing lots a golf and taking trips to Cap Cod, New York City, the Finger Lakes and New Mexico. He is also a kitchen volunteer for meals on wheels in Camillus.
