1977. Rick began at a young age playing Little League baseball and was on the All-Star team.
Rick continued to be very active in sports throughout high school and played football, lacrosse
and ran track. He achieved athletic letters in all these sports. Rick then continued his education at
College at Canton Atc. where he received an associate degree in Auto Tech.
Rick works at Cameron Group, LLC a developer out of Syracuse, NY specializing in mixed use
centers. Rick serves as the construction manager since 2018. Prior to this, he was heavily
involved in the operations of Labrador Mountain for 20 plus years.
Rick keeps busy and remains well rounded by being involved in the following organizations, as
follows- Vice president of CNY Umpires. Member of Pompey Hill Fire Department has served
as both lieutenant and captain through the years. Dive Master & Public safety Driver of
Onondaga Dive Team. Head coach of Cornell Alpine Ski Team, men and women.
Rick began umpiring for USSSA in 2009 for the love of the game. Rick has worked at many of
the world tournaments in Orlando, and Space Coast Complex in Melbourne, FL. He was chosen
for many finals and semi-final games. Rick continued to be asked by the organization to return
many years over.
Rick is very thankful to have experienced USSSA inclusive of all the great memories,
challenges, and opportunities along the way each year. In addition, for working with great people
and giving guidance to other umpires as well as problem resolution to teams and players that
inevitably occurs during a season. Thanks for the ride and allowi
