Bob has officiated slow pitch softball for close to 30 years umpiring for both the ASA and USSSA. He has umpired in every division from the youth leagues up to conference and major softball. His accomplishments include umpiring in many NIT's, States, and World Series including the last 10 ten years at the USSSA Super Series at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Bob has worked numerous State Qualifiers in and out of New York State. Bob has traveled all over the United States to umpire, going as far west as Las Vegas and south to Florida, with many other places in between. He says his most memorable umpiring experience was when he teamed up with his son Brian in a game played in Canada. In 2003 Bob received the prestigious Northeast Division Umpire in Chief Award and in 2005 the USSSA presented him with the Northeast Division's Dwight Hall Spark Plug of the year Memorial Award.

Bob's career in slowpitch does not stop at officiating. For the last 15 years he has been President of the Sports Officials of the Rochester Area. Since the inception of multiple sports in the USSSA organization, Bob has been a director or umpire in chief for multiple sports in the Rochester area. Bob works with several sports with both his SORA and USSSA roles including, Slow Pitch, Fast Pitch, Baseball, Flag Football, Kickball and Basketball. In November of 2010, Bob was appointed Western NY State Director, State Tournament Coordinator, New Area Development Coordinator.

Bob has been married to his beautiful wife Judy for over 40 years and has 3 children Brian, Linda, and Steven. He also has 4 grandchildren Emily, Grace, Jonas and Hannah. Without the support of these understanding people Bob says he wouldn't be where he is today.
