Robert “Bobby” Wright

Robert D. Wright was born in Dawson, Ga on March 23, 1946 to parents Obzzine and Stonewall.  Robert is the loving husband to Pamela Johnson-Wright, a loving father to his children, grand-father and great-grand father. Robert (Bobby) attended school at Carver High School in Georgia.

He moved to Batavia, NY in 1965 until 1975.  In 1975 Robert (Bobby) moved to Rochester, NY in 1976 he began working for the City of Rochester.  In 1980 he became a member of Faith Temple Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop Jerry McCullough Sr.  Robert (Bobby) is currently the Head Deacon at Faith Temple Apostolic Church.

In 1985 he played softball for the church until he realized that it was time to hang up playing.  In 1986 James Kimble suggested that Robert (Bobby) become an official.  Robert (Bobby) has worked every tournament in Florida and Macon, GA for the USSSA.

Robert (Bobby) retired from the City of Rochester in 2008 and he continues to say every year that he is going to retire from being an Official Umpire.
