Skip Grieco

Skip is a life long Rochester resident. Skip began his involvement in Slo-Pitch umpiring in 1972 as a member of the Rochester Metropolitan Umpire Association (MUA). In 1985 he began to serve as UIC and main rules clinician along with serving as an assignor for many years.

Skip umpired in virtually every class of both Men's and Women's tournaments at the local, state, divisional, and regional levels culminating in being selected to officiate at the 1993 Men's Major World Series in Daytona Beach.

Skip continues to umpire for Slo-Pitch as well as working in Fast Pitch baseball, Little League, and high school and adult leagues. He is proud of his tenure with the MUA and continues to support the Rochester programs. Skip's involvement in sports includes working as a public address announcer for both the professional Rochester Razorsharks basketball team and the Rochester Raiders indoor football team.
